A daily register that adds itself up — marked in seconds, built around your school’s own calendar, and ready to report on any day, month or period. Live and in use in schools today.
The idea
Most schools mark a paper register, then someone spends the end of every month totalling it into a spreadsheet — and again into the progress card. Inspire Attendance takes the marking down to a few taps and does every calculation for you, correctly, the moment it is saved.
The class opens already marked Present. The teacher changes only the exceptions and saves — forty students in moments.
Each session is marked separately. Present for both is a full day, present for one is half — so a child who goes home at lunch is recorded honestly.
Approved leave is recorded as leave, not absence, and reported separately. Schools choose whether it counts toward days present.
Sundays and second Saturdays by default — or any weekday, and whichever Saturdays of the month your school actually closes.
Declare a holiday for the whole school, or for a single class away on an exam or a trip. Working Saturdays can be opened just as easily.
A grid of students against days, for filling in a back-log or correcting a stretch of dates in one pass.
A single day, a month, or any span of dates — days present, absences, leave and percentage for every child.
Download a printable PDF register: every date across the page, summary columns at the end, and signature space for the teacher and principal.
Class teachers mark their own classes; leadership sees every class; office staff can be given attendance rights without the rest.
Set your weekly offs once, and teachers can start marking the same day. Attendance flows into the Holistic Progress Card, so nobody types the same numbers twice.
